It's made from 100% Grade 6A long-fiber Mulberry silk, the highest grade of raw silk available, with a high momme count for substance and durability. We sandwash the silk for a soft, matte finish and treat the fabric with aloe vera for added benefits to hair and skin. This breathable, machine washable silk pillowcase is beauty rest, made simple.

What is the Silk Pillowcase made from?

Cozy Earth's Silk Pillowcase is made from 100% Grade 6A long-fiber Mulberry silk, the highest grade of raw silk available. Mulberry silk is produced by silkworms fed an exclusive diet of mulberry leaves, which results in the longest, most uniform, and smoothest protein fibers. The fabric has a high momme count for substance and is sandwashed for a soft matte finish.

What's the difference between silk and satin?

Silk is a natural fiber, while satin is a type of weave that can be made from many materials, including synthetics like polyester. Our pillowcase is made from 100% mulberry silk in a satin weave, so you get the genuine softness, breathability, and natural properties of real silk, not just the look of it.

Is the Silk Pillowcase good for hair and skin?

Yes. A silk pillowcase reduces friction against the hair and skin compared to a cotton pillowcase, which can help limit hair breakage, frizz, and pillow lines on the face. The smooth surface lets the hair slide along the pillow rather than catch and pull, and helps the skin retain moisture overnight rather than losing it to absorbent cotton.
