"I already know that when I look back on my life with young kids, what I will miss the most are the mundane daily tasks we did together. It’s hard to see it in the moment because they’re, well, mundane, but I know I will miss when they help me with the dishes, make the beds, put away their clothes, crawl into my bed to wake me up in the morning, and the tubs after a messy spaghetti dinner. I know one day I will miss a loud home. I will miss the energy that was surrounding me at all times. Yes, it’s chaotic. Yes, it’s tiring. But I really do believe it’s so beautiful at the same time."
