What does cotton feel like compared to bamboo?

Our Soft-Wash Cotton is a sateen weave, so it feels smooth and soft with a little more body on the bed than bamboo sheets. It drapes naturally and holds its shape, with a grounded, substantial quality you can feel. The fabric has been sandwashed to create a lived-in feel to the sheets. Bamboo, by comparison, is lighter and more slippery, with a silky glide. Cotton lovers tend to prefer that bit of structure and the unmistakable feel of a natural cotton sheet.

Does Soft-Wash cotton hold up well over time?

Yes. Long-staple cotton is prized for standing up to years of regular washing, growing softer with each cycle rather than wearing thin. Our Soft-Wash Cotton is finished to resist pilling and keep its smooth hand wash after wash, so it settles into your routine and stays a favorite for the long run.

Why are they called "Soft-Wash"?

The cotton is garment-washed during finishing, a step that relaxes the fibers and takes away the stiffness of brand-new sheets. That is why they feel soft and broken-in from the very first night, and why they keep getting softer with every wash.

Is cotton bedding a good choice for warm sleepers?

Cotton is naturally breathable and comfortable year-round. That said, if sleeping cool is your top priority, our bamboo sheets and quilt are designed to be especially temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking, so they may suit very hot sleepers a little better. For most people, cotton offers an easy, breathable comfort in any season.

Who are cotton sheets best for?

Cotton is for anyone who loves a classic, natural feel and bedding that looks crisp and settled on the bed. It is a great choice if you find very silky fabrics too slippery, if you prefer a sheet with some substance to it, or if you simply love the timeless comfort of real cotton. The garment-washed finish means these feel soft and broken-in from the very first night.

Do these Soft-Wash Cotton sheets have a high thread count?

These sheets are 300 thread count. For a sateen weave, that sits right in the sweet spot textile experts point to, dense enough to feel smooth and substantial without crossing into the inflated counts that add weight rather than quality; however, thread count isn’t always an accurate measurement of softness, strength, and quality. Instead of focusing on a number, we focused on crafting the ideal combination of fiber, yarn, weave, and advanced technology for sheets you’ll love for years to come.
